Grocery Stores and Farmer's Markets
Grocery Stores
Harris Teeter – There are many Harris Teeter grocery stores in Winston, but the one at Cloverdale Plaza and one at Thruway Shopping Center are each less than a mile from the hospital. To get to either from the hospital, take Hawthorn Rd., turn left onto First Street, followed by a left onto Cloverdale at the first light. After crossing over Miller Street, you will see the Cloverdale Harris Teeter on your right in the Cloverdale Plaza. If you continue to the end of Cloverdale and make a right onto Oakwood, this will take you directly to the Thruway Shopping Center. Harris Teeter is located at the west end of Thruway. Don’t forget your student ID, as students get a 5% discount. otherwise it is a little pricy. The Thruway Harris Teeter location is open 24 hours a day.

In addition Whole Foods has a diverse selection of beer and wines available. Located on Miller Street, follow directions listed above, but turn right off of Cloverdale onto Miller Street.
